a Belkin, but one that wasn't compatible with WPA2. SH is providing DHCP, using range 192.168.0.3 - 192.168.0.100īOTH SH and RE are using the SAME channel but DIFFERENT SSIDs. I've put an Edimax ew-7416apn v2 wireless access point/range extender (RE) on the upstairs landing. It's running Windows XP Home, and I'm using an Edimax USB wireless adapter to get wireless connections. The family PC is in a corner of the house just about as far away as it can get from the Superhub (SH). I don't tend to use wireless in the office, but plug in using a spare cable. I can connect wirelessly directly to the hub using my laptop (Windows 7 Professional) BUT the signal isn't great in most rooms in the house. I have a Virgin Superhub (NETGEAR according to the label on the back) providing a 50mbps service to the PCs and other equipment (networked printer, etc) connected to it through two hubs (all wired). ![]() I've been through (most of) the relevant posts to see if I could fix my problem, but am struggling to put the bits together for my situation.
